No, you do not necessarily have to remove all of your furniture to install carpet, but it’s usually recommended to make the installation process smoother and easier. Some furniture may need to be moved, but our carpet installation team will work with you to determine which pieces need to be moved and how to do so safely.
If you’re worried about moving heavy furniture or items that require disassembly, please let us know in advance, and we can discuss the options available to you. Our carpet installation team is trained to move furniture carefully and efficiently, minimizing any potential damage to your belongings.
If you prefer to move your furniture yourself, we recommend doing so before our installation team arrives. This will give them plenty of space to work and will make the installation process quicker and smoother.
The length of time it takes to install a carpet can vary depending on the size of the area, the complexity of the installation, and the type of carpet being installed. In general, a typical installation can take anywhere from a few hours to a full day or more. During the installation process, our team will begin by preparing the area by removing any old carpet, padding, and tack strips. They will also make any necessary repairs to the subfloor to ensure a smooth and even surface.
Next, the new carpet will be laid out and cut to fit the space. This may involve seaming pieces of carpet together to cover larger areas or to create specific patterns or designs. Once the carpet is cut and in place, it will be stretched and secured to the tack strips around the perimeter of the room. Padding will be laid down underneath the carpet to provide additional comfort and support.
Finally, our team will trim any excess carpet and tidy up the area, leaving you with a beautifully installed carpet.
The exact timeline for your carpet installation will depend on a variety of factors, so it’s best to speak with our team directly to get a more accurate estimate based on your specific needs. We strive to complete every installation in a timely and efficient manner without sacrificing quality or attention to detail.
Definitely! We offer commercial carpet, carpet tiles and vinyl at industry leading prices! No matter the size of the project we offer our services to office spaces small and large. At Carpets on the Move we pride ourselves on going the extra mile in providing you with a high quality and detailed finish.
At Carpets on the Move, we understand the challenges pet owners face when it comes to finding flooring options that can withstand the wear and tear caused by their furry friends. Our top flooring options for pets are vinyl plank flooring (VPF) and Eco + Triexta carpet.
VPF is highly recommended for pet owners as it closely resembles the look and feel of hardwood floors, but is more durable and cost-effective than timber. It is scratch-resistant and waterproof, making it easy to clean and maintain. The VPF planks come with a tongue and groove connection system, making installation and replacement of individual planks a breeze.
For those who prefer carpet, we recommend the Triexta carpet range from Eco +. This cut pile twist carpet is buttery soft and durable for your pets to play and relax on all day, and is treated with a permanent built-in stain-resistant technology, making it easy to clean light spills and accidents with just water. We also offer a large range of carpet off-cuts that are a great cost-saving alternative to normal rugs and come in over 20 neutral and color options.
When looking for pet-friendly flooring options, durability, stain and odor resistance, and ease of cleaning should be considered. At Carpets on the Move, we have a wide range of flooring options to choose from that can meet these requirements, so visit our showroom or get a quote today to see how we can help you find the perfect pet-friendly flooring for your home.
